Glenn is the only citizen of the United States to receive an apology from England for the Revolutionary War (sort of!). While covering the visit of Queen Elizabeth II to Victoria, British Columbia, the Duke of Edinburgh stepped on Glenn's foot. The Duke quickly apologized with a royal "We," saying, "Oh, We're so sorry, We didn't mean to tread on you." The British Press, traveling with the royal couple, dubbed the statement "The apology to the colonies for the troubles in the 1770's."
Glenn is married to Kim Lambertz (Anderson). They have five children and seven grandchildren. Glenn is an Extra class amateur radio operator (KF2LU), and an avid target shooter and hunter.
