Proverbs 18:21
"Words kill, words give life. They’re either poison or fruit, you choose."
The New King James Version it says, “death and life are in the power of the tongue”. What we don’t realize is our tongue has power, our words have power. Words kill or words give life and we just think we are saying words. When you say something negative, let’s say your children, you speak negatively over them you say they’re stupid, they’re dumb or they’re never going to amount to anything, those words take hold and many times produce those type of children and even turning them into those types of adults. When you speak words of life, “you’re and incredible young man or woman, you’re a great person”, when you start speaking words of life, then those words can take hold. Even though sometimes people or children may struggle, your words of life can sometimes cause that which you speak to come to pass. There is power in words! What happens is within us, not only are those words spoken in the air, but their magnified and amplified in the spirit realm. The spirit realm gets behind them either negatively or positively. So when you speak words, make sure you are speaking words of life. Even in difficult situations we need to watch our words and make sure we are speaking words of life to one another.

Today is July 4th and today I just wanted to pray for our nation. Sometimes there is so much going on and we just need to stop and take time to pray. We do have a great nation. I realize there are things that are happening and we get nervous about stuff that is going on in our nation and we have rights to get nervous about some things. But I also know we need to give God thanks for our nation. The Words says, “in everything give thanks” I Thessalonians. We need to give God thanks. God has been good to us and God has really been good to this nation. The last thing we need to do is abandon God in our nation. Our nation needs more of God, needs more of the presence of God.
“Father, I ask that you would help our nation today. I ask that you would bless America. Lord, we thank you for this great nation. And Lord that even our forefathers did so much to make this a great nation. Lord in the midst of all they did, they did put you first, they did talk about God. Lord our nation talks about God even now. Lord, I ask that you would not be lost in our nation but that Father, you would become strong and be a defender of our nation. That you would protect our borders, protect those that fight for us all around the world, all of our soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan and around the world. God I ask that you would bless them and touch every family. Bless this nation, bless our president, bless the elections that are coming up. Father, I just ask that you would cause your presence to manifest in our nation in a greater measure. We love you and thank you, in Jesus Name, Amen!”

Proverbs 18:24
"A man who has friends, must himself be friendly. But there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother."
We must show ourselves friendly. Some people say to me “how do I get friends?” but they tend to be aloof or they tend to be withdrawn. If you want to have friends, you must show yourself friendly. You need to be kind, you need to smile. You need to invite people to be around you, you need to have conversation. You can’t just sit there and say nothing. Sometimes that can be very difficult. Some of us can be socially challenged. You can pray and ask God to help you. The second part of this scripture is true where it says, “there is a friend that sticks closer than a brother”. We believe that friend is Jesus Christ. Even if you have no friends, there is a friend and his name is Jesus. You can call out to Jesus and he’ll be your friend. When everybody else has left you and gone. Jesus can and will there for you.
