Ontario County Deputy Cleared of Eavesdropping Charges

A grand jury has cleared an Ontario County Corrections Officer accused of eavesdropping on courthouse conversations.

Adam Broadwell will not face charges.

The 20-year veteran of the Sheriff's Department was accused of listening in on jury conversations using an electronic hearing device in March of last year.

He was arrested and charged with felony eavesdropping charge, along with two misdemeanor counts, this past March.

Broadwell was on paid suspension while the case played out.
