A University of Rochester public safety officer has a concussion and other injuries from an encounter at the Strong Memorial Hospital parking garage.
It happened overnight when officers tried to stop a suspicious vehicle circling the garage.
The driver refused to stop, put the car in reverse, and jumped out.
As the car rolled backward down a ramp, the open driver-side door hit the officer.
Other officers nabbed the driver.
They found a bag of white powder in the car, and the man admitted he had snorted some it.
The charges included reckless endangering, drug possession and trespassing.
