The Rochester Museum and Science Center Hosting an Eclipse Viewing Party

The Rochester Museum and Science center is hosting a partial eclipse viewing party on Saturday, October 14th.

Staff members and volunteers will be there with telescopes equipped with solar filters to view the eclipse.

If the weather cooperates Saturday, about 25 percent of the sun's disk will be covered by the new moon.

And eclipse viewing glasses are on sale now at the museum gift shop. It's worth stocking up now. This eclipse is just a dress rehearsal for the more spectacular total eclipse next April 8th.
