UPDATE: The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office has identified the man who died at the county jail as 62-year-old Brian Harmon of Rochester.

The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death of an inmate at the county jail.
Deputies found the man in his 60s unresponsive in a cell yesterday and started life-saving measures.
He was pronounced dead at the hospital an hour later.
The man had been in custody since September 22 for a parole violation and was being housed in a medical unit.
His name is being withheld.
Per agency protocol, the sheriff's Criminal Investigations Section and Internal Affairs are conducting investigations.
