Suspect in Homicide at Downtown Bar Arrested

A United States Marshals Task Force has arrested a man in a murder that took place early on the morning of May 23rd.

Rochester police say 36-year-old Randy Burney was not involved in a fight between 41-year-old victim Kimanhi Hinds and a woman at the Flower City Station Bar, but he walked over and shot the victim anyway, along with a security guard who was trying to break up the fight.

Hinds was killed and the guard was injured.

Burney was located in the city and has been charged with second degree murder.

He may face additional charges from a grand jury.
