The jury selection process has begun for the trial of Kelvin Vickers.

He's the Boston man charged in three Rochester homicides, including the shooting death of Officer Tony Mazurkiewicz.

Choosing a jury could take several days, and the trial could last a month.

Reporters were told this morning they will not be allowed to have their phones out in the courtroom.

That means reporters won't be able to post the developments to social media as they happen.

The killing happened in July 2022.

Authorities says Vickers was brought by a marijuana trafficking gang to Rochester from Boston to kill rival dealers.
