The Monroe County Republican Committee has a new chairman.
Retired County Parks Director Larry Staub is now at the helm.
Chairman David Dunning has stepped down, withdrawn his own candidacy in next month's election, and endorsed Staub.
Staub says his immediate priorities are getting Mark Assini elected County Executive and winning a majority in the County Legislature this November.
Staub will still have to stand election for a full 2-year term as chairman September 21.
