UPDATE: Rochester General Hospital Nurses Vote in Favor to Strike

The nurses at Rochester General Hospital have voted to authorize a strike if there is no deal resolving staff shortages and wages.

The union says more than 90 percent of those who voted yesterday were in favor of a strike, which could begin early next month.

The union represents 900 nurses. More than 500 voted yesterday.

The hospital says the bargaining is continuing, there has been some progress, and it has a plan ready if the nurses walk off the job.
