New Push to Regulate State Speeding Ticket Surcharges

There's a new push to limit what drivers would have to pay when they get a speeding ticket.

A bill in the state legislature would cap surcharges to a maximum of ten-percent of the original fine.

The lawmaker sponsoring the bill says the current fees don't make sense.

A 45-dollar ticket can end up costing up to 300-bucks after the surcharges are added.
