Rochester Man Sentenced in Violent Carjacking

A Rochester man will serve 14-and-a-half years in prison for the violent carjacking of a taxi driver.

Federal prosecutors say 32-year-old Devin Johnson pistol-whipped the taxi driver in the head twice outside a Dewey Avenue gas station in April of last year.

Johnson then narrowly missed the victim with a single shot.

He then took off and was arrested with a stolen 9mm handgun.
