A Rochester man has been charged in an alleged fatal hit-and-run earlier this year on Clifford Avenue.
Police say 32-year-old Steven Cheeks Junior hit 52-year-old Yoeun Nhong of Rochester as she was crossing near Conkey Avenue back in February.
Cheeks allegedly tried to evade arrest by claiming his car was stolen.
Cheeks is charged with leaving the scene of a fatal accident, evidence tampering, and filing a false statement.
