Delivery Fees Could Be On The Rise In New York

Deliveries could get more expensive in New York.

Assembly Democrats have proposed a 25-cent fee on both online and in-store purchase deliveries.

They say the fee would generate about $115 million, which would then be used to bolster transit systems statewide.

Food and medicine deliveries would be exempt.

The Senate budget proposal did not include the fee.
