NY GOP Wins Latest Election Map Challenge

Republicans challenging the drawing of New York's new congressional district boundaries have won another round in court.

A panel of appellate judges ruled in a 3 to 2 vote that the map drawn by Democrats in the state legislature is unconstitutional.

The judges ruled the district lines were drawn to benefit Democrats and discourage competition.

Legislative leaders say they will appeal the ruling to the state's highest court - the Court of Appeals.

It could hear the case as soon as next week.
