Rochester City Council Approves Police Accountability Board's Office Space

The Rochester City Council has voted 7 to 2 to approve the Police Accountability Board's office space deal.

The PAB will sublease space at the Democrat & Chronicle office at Main and Clinton.

The two-year-deal under discussion could include a monthly rent as high as $29,000.

The PAB is hiring a staff of 50 people and expects to begin investigating complaints of police misconduct as soon as April.

Council members Willie Lightfoot and Jose Peo were the "no" votes on the lease deal.
