Man Charged With Vehicular Manslaughter After Accident in Gates

Police say a Rochester man was drunk behind the wheel when he crashed early yesterday morning in Gates, killing his passenger. Torzell McCloud, 26, is charged with vehicular manslaughter, DWI and traffic infractions. The crash happened around 3 a.m. Sunday on Chili Avenue. Gates police say McCloud's car went off the road, and hit a utility pole and a parked car. He had minor injuries. Police have not released the name of the person killed in the accident.
