Tour Boat Planned For Genesee River

Rochester, NY -- The City of Rochester will use $150,000 in federal pandemic relief funds for a new tour boat on the Genesee River.

According to the City News, the non-profit that already operates the Sam Patch tours on the Erie Canal will operate the boat.

Corn Hill Navigation has been granted a 20-year contract to operate the tour boat service, and it could begin this coming summer.

The funding was approved at Tuesday's City Council meeting. Corn Hill also is getting other public and private grants to cover the half-million dollar start-up costs.
