Rochester's Inner Loop Listed as One of the Nation's Worst Urban Highways

A nonprofit think tank that wants to re-design U.S. cities has put the northern section of Rochester's Inner Loop on its list of the nation's worst urban highways.

The report from the Congress for the New Urbanism lists 15 highways that have divided cities and isolated neighborhoods.

The group believes tearing down those roads will create robust, walkable neighborhoods.

Rochester is already looking at getting federal money to fill-in the Northside Inner Loop, much as it already did to the Inner Loop's eastern section.
