Lawsuit Pending Against Eastman Kodak for Insider-Trading

The New York attorney general’s office reportedly intends to bring an insider-trading lawsuit against Eastman Kodak and Executive Chairman Jim Continenza.

Reuters reports the case involves stock purchases in the weeks before last July's announcement that the Trump administration would lend Kodak $765 million to make pharmaceutical ingredients. The announcement sent stock prices soaring, before the loan deal was shelved.

Continenza had bought nearly 47,000 shares of Kodak stock on June 23.

Kodak said in a statement for Reuters that Continenza did not engage in insider trading.

The Attorney General's office had no comment.
