Gillibrand's New Bill Aimed At Preventing Sexual Assault in the Military

She told NBC News she now has 61 co-sponsors to put the bill over the filibuster threshold.

The measure would move cases out of the military chain of command to trained military prosecutors.

Gillibrand explained she's been working to address military reform since 2013 and the bill "vindicates years of work to secure justice for military survivors."
