Monroe County Passes 50,000 COVID-19 Cases

The number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Monroe County has climbed past 50,000 since the pandemic began, but the picture continues to look brighter.

The seven-day average of new cases dropped yesterday to 153, and the seven-day average of positive tests dropped to 2.2 percent.

The virus has killed 1,078 people in the county. In the nine surrounding counties, the death toll is 679.
