There will be no high school spring sports championships this year.
The New York State Public High School Athletic Association made the decision this morning.
According to a statement, the Association considered the concerns of the 11 sections and member schools.
Officials say the decision will give schools more flexibility to plan and schedule the remaining sports season.
Fall and winter championships were already canceled by the pandemic.
