Rochester Mayor Lovely Warren Delivers State of the City Address

Rochester Mayor Lovely Warren has introduced what she calls her "Equity & Recovery Agenda” for the city.

In her State of the City address last night, she outlined initiatives to reverse the effects of inequality and racism, and prepare for the city's recovery from the pandemic.

She wants to create funds to help families afford homes and deal with unforeseen financial setbacks. That money would come from a tax on the sale of marijuana and from non-profits, such as the UofR.

Warren also is calling for neighborhood elementary schools, a $15 minimum wage for health care workers, and a residency requirement for police officers.
