There has been another spike in COVID-19 related deaths in Monroe County.
The health department reports there were 33 new deaths, bringing the death toll to 592.
Officials say the deaths occurred between 12/16 and 12/29.
There have been 625 new cases of the virus since the last update, bringing the 7-day rolling average positivity rate to 8.6%.
There are 959 people in the Finger Lakes Region that are hospitalized, 140 of them are in ICU.
Meanwhile, reports of COVID-19 deaths continue to come in from surrounding counties.
Ontario County has confirmed 4 new coronavirus-related deaths, 3 at nursing homes.
Seneca, Wayne, Steuben, and Yates Counties also reported a death from COVID-19 Wednesday.
