The Monroe County Legislature has Approved a New $1.2 billion Budget

The Monroe County Legislature has approved a new $1.2 billion budget, but County Executive Adam Bello will have to decide whether he'll accept amendments that were approved last night.

According to the Rochester City Newspaper, one amendment reverses proposed changes to Democratic staff in the county Board of Elections.

And the other creates a $2.5 million “community contingency fund” that members of the legislature could tap for unexpected needs.

The amendments were passed 20 to 9 which are enough votes to override potential Bello vetoes.
