Isaiah Stewart became the highest ever draft pick out of Rochester when he was selected 16th overall.

The Portland Trail Blazers made he pick, but dealt Stewart to Detroit immediately after.

The former McQuaid standout supplants East's Al Butler who was picked 17th overall in 1961.

Prior to last night, the last first round pick from the area was in 1996 when the Knicks picked Greece Athena & Syracuse star John Wallace 18th overall.
