Parole Officer, Parolee Identities Released in Canandaigua Shooting

The Ontario County Sheriff's Office has released the names of those involved in this week's shooting of a wanted parolee in Canandaigua.

27-year-old Supreme Hines was the man on parole from a burglary conviction who allegedly violated his parole by stealing liquor from stores in Geneva.

When Parole Officer Jeffrey Smith tried to arrest Hines, he jumped into a car and tried to speed off with Smith straddling the hood.

Smith fired through the windshield, hitting Hines three times.

The Sheriff's Office says Hines is still in the hospital, and will be arrested on the parole warrant when he's released.
