Police are Investigating a Shooting that Wounded a 44-Year-Old City Man

Rochester police are investigating a shooting that wounded a 44-year-old city man.

It happened around 9:30 last night on West Main Street, near Jefferson Avenue.

Police aren't sure what led to the shooting, and have made no arrests. The man made it on his own to Strong hospital and is expected to survive.

There had been a report of gunfire a couple hours earlier a few blocks away but it doesn't appear anyone was hurt.
