Josh Jensen Declares Victory in 134th State Assembly District

The republican in the race for the 134th State Assembly District is declaring victory.

The race was between republican Greece Town Board member Josh Jensen and Carolyn Carrol.

At last check, Jensen was leading 64 to 32 percent.

In an email statement the Jensen Campaign said in part:

"With the number of outstanding absentee ballots, it is mathematically unlikely that any of the other three candidates will gain enough votes to overcome Jensen’s Election night lead.

As the presumptive winner of the 134th Assembly District, Josh Jensen looks forward to being a strong and effective voice for all members of the community, making a meaningful difference in Albany for the people of Greece, Ogden and Parma."

The seat was up for grabs after Incumbent Peter Lawrence announced he was retiring.
