Rep. Tom Reed Declares Victory in 23rd Congressional District Race

Congressman Tom Reed is declaring victory in the race for the 23rd Congressional District.

Reed made the announcement in a Facebook Live video.

Incumbent Tom Reed (R) is seeking a sixth term, but is challenged again by Tracy Mitrano (D), whom Reed beat by 8 points in 2018.

District includes several Southern Tier counties including Allegany, Chautauqua, Cattaraugus, Chemung, Ontario, Schuyler, Seneca, Steuben, Tioga, Tompkins and Yates. The district typically votes Republican

Reed was first elected to the House of Representatives in a special election in 2010. And prior to that he searved as Mayor of Corning.

Reed endorsed Trump in the 2016 election, and also served as honorary chair of Trump's 2020 reelection campaign.
