Rochester Schools Say "NO" to Fall Sports

The Rochester City School District has decided not to take part in the fall sports season because of COVID-19.

Superintendent Lesli Myers-Small says with the district in full remote learning mode, it wouldn't be in the best interest of students to practice and compete. She says the district is hoping student athletes can play in a delayed season beginning on March 1st.

Myers-Small says they know what a disappointment this is to the athletes, their familes and the coaches. But she says the district is certain it's the right choice for now.
