Husband of Local Lawmaker Arrested During Saturday Night's Protest

The husband of a local lawmaker was arrested during this weekend's protests in Rochester.

Nicholas Wilt was charged with unlawful assembly and resisting arrest during the demonstration early Sunday morning.

His spouse is Brighton Town Council member and former 25th District Congressional candidate Robin Wilt, whom Joe Morelle easily defeated in June's Democratic primary.

Two others were also charged, as Rochester Police say they were pelted with eggs, rocks and bottles by the crowd.
