Batavia Man Sentenced in Bergen Teen Rape Case

Guillermo Torres-Acevedo

A Batavia man who took a 14-year-old Bergen girl to Pennsylvania for sex has been sentenced to state prison time on top of his federal sentence.

Twenty-three-year-old Guillermo Torres-Acevedo pleaded guilty last year to second-degree rape.

He reportedly must serve three years in state prison after 15 years in federal prison.

Following his rape arrest in November 2018, he picked up the girl at school and drove her across state lines.

The girl's disappearance prompted an Amber Alert.
