Rochester fire investigators say a blaze early Friday morning on Weaver Street near Joseph Avenue was a case of arson.
The Rochester Fire Department was called out to the two-and-a-half story double house to find heavy fire coming from the rear. They also found electrical lines down and arcing. The fire spread to the neighboring house as well, but firefighters kept it from reaching the interior of that second house.
The first house was heavily damaged and left uninhabitable. The tenants are being assisted by the Red Cross. Nobody was hurt.
