Governor Cuomo signs order recognizing 'Juneteenth' as a holiday

Governor Cuomo has signed an executive order recognizing 'Juneteenth' as a holiday for state employees. The governor is hoping the state legislature passes a measure recognizing Juneteenth going forward. Juneteenth is the oldest known celebration commemorating the ending of slavery in the United States. He says it's a day we should all reflect upon. Cuomo is also signing legislation to protect the rights of healthcare workers to speak out about improper patient care or workplace safety.
