Former Brockport Superintendent Reportedly to Head Rochester Schools

Both the D&C and 13 WHAM say they've learned through sources that Leslie Myers Small will be Rochester's new school superintendent, replacing Terry Dade who resigned last week after just ten months on the job. Small is the former Brockport School Superintendent and has been working with the State Education Department. School District Officials are not commenting and there's no word when she starts on the job.

The School Board met in regular session on Thursday evening and went immediately into executive session.

State Assemblyman Harry Bronson says this is great news for the Rochester Community, and Myers experience with the state working to reorganize struggling school districts makes her exceptionally qualified to take on the Rochester School District.

Bronson says the district still needs an independent monitor appointed by the state, preferably as soon as possible.
