Bill Proposes Seat Belt Requirements For All Vehicle Passengers

The New York State Senate has passed the bill requiring everyone in a motor vehicle to wear a seat belt.

That includes adults in the backseat, who currently do not have to wear the belts.

Supporters say the legislation will save lives.

Triple-A is one of the organizations supporting the legislation.

The bill has already cleared the Assembly and now heads to the governor for his signature.
