Judge To Rule On Resident Objections To Webster Greenhouse

People living near a planned greenhouse complex in Webster are waiting for a judge to rule on their objections.

They claim the town's approvals for the project were illegal. Their lawsuit says the land is zoned for agriculture, not industrial farming.

CEA Fresh Farms is planning to grow lettuce in seven large greenhouses on 140 acres along State Road.

Area residents say the project is too big, will be an eyesore and add to traffic.

A court hearing was held February 11, and a ruling is expected within two months.

CEA executives say the greenhouses will create 375 jobs
