State police say a father and son from the Buffalo area had to be taken to the hospital after they fell through the ice while fishing on Brisco Cove in Sodus Point.
It happened shortly after noon yesterday.
The man was spotted in the water, about 30 feet from shore, clinging to ice.
First responders and a civilian were unable rescue him, until a rescue boat was launched and the man was pulled from the water.
His son got out of the water on his own.
