Gates police are preparing to file charges against an Irondequoit man who they say tried to run down officers with his vehicle.
It happened yesterday after Todd Lusink failed to stop for police who were investigating what looked like a stolen license plate.
He finally stopped on McKee Road. When officers approached, police say he backed up toward them.
They got out of the way, but Lusink hit a police car, a parked car, and led police on a car and foot chase.
When they caught him, police say he was overdosing on fentanyl and he was taken to the hospital.
