Freshman Student Facing Charges for Eastridge Bomb Threat

A 9th grade student at Eastridge High School is facing charges for allegedly writing a bomb threat on a school wall last Friday.

Irondequoit Police say they have arrested the student as a juvenile delinquent for falsely reporting an Incident and making a false written statement.

Several police agencies responded to the school last Friday after school officials called 911. The school was evacuated for several hours while officers searched each room and deemed the school safe.

The student will face the charges in Monroe County Family Court.
