Rochester Man Facing Federal Charges For Armed Carjacking

A Rochester man is facing federal charges for an armed carjacking earlier this year.

A federal grand jury has indicted 19-year-old Jacob Loyd on several charges including carjacking and possession of a firearm in furtherance of a crime of violence.

Federal prosecutors say Loyd stole a vehicle at gunpoint in the 100 block of Gothic Street in Rochester back in June.

The charges he is facing carry a maximum of life in prison and a 250 thousand dollar fine.
