District Attorney Race Heats Up

Democrat Shani Curry Mitchell's campaign is firing back at Monroe County Republicans -- who say the hiring of her campaign manager violated an election law.

Mitchell is running against Republican D-A Sandra Doorley, and her campaign says in a statement that Republicans are trying to hide "Doorley’s record of misconduct and her failure to keep our community safe."

The County GOP says Mitchell hired a campaign manager who'd been working for a public relations firm representing billionaire George Soros' political action committee. The GOP says that looks like illegal coordination between the campaign and the PAC.
