NYS Lawmakers Now Allowed To Earn Outside Income

A New York state judge says state lawmakers can get a raise and can earn outside income.

The ruling tosses out an old ban that had been in place since 1999.

The ruling will raise legislators' annual base pay from $79,500 to $130,000 over three years.

In addition, Governor Cuomo's annual pay will jump from 178-thousand-dollars to 250-thousand-dollars, also phased-in.
