Several homes lost power in the area of the 200 block of Rand Street following a garage fire late last night.
Rochester firefighters found the detached garage fully engulfed in flames when they arrived on scene and three homes next to it sustained damage.
Officials say some primary electrical lines burned through and fell to the ground causing numerous homes in the area to lose power.
No one was hurt and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
