A Fairport man is in critical condition today after he was struck by passing car on Route 5 in Ontario County.
The Ontario County Sheriff's Office says 31-year-old Phillip Koff walked across the highway in an area not marked as a pedestrian crossing. They say he appeared to be intoxicated. The car was driven by 28-year-old Erica Lawson of Rochester who immediately stopped and called 911. She was not ticketed.
Deputies say Koff was airlifted by Mercy Flight to Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester.
