Rochester police have no suspects in custody in a deadly shooting on the city's southwest side. It happened around 11:30 Tuesday night near Wellington Avenue and Kirkland Road. A 38-year-old man was shot at least once and died at Strong hospital.
Earlier in the day, a man was shot and wounded a few blocks away near Champlain Street and Jefferson Street. He is recovering. There's no word if the shootings are connected.
