New Housing Program Announced in Rochester

New York's Attorney General was in Rochester yesterday to launch a new statewide affordable housing program.

Letitia James helped introduce The Mission Based Affordable Housing Partnership, which is being established in Monroe and 11 other counties. It will make $1.4 million in grants available to non-profit and religious organizations looking to convert existing properties into affordable housing. It will also offer expert help to those groups to design and carry out their projects.

Mayor Lovely Warren says the Upper Falls area will see the greatest benefit from the partnership
