Today Marks One Year Since Disappearance of Trevyan Rowe

Today marks exactly one year since the disappearance of Trevyan Rowe, the 14-year-old from Rochester who was found dead days later in the Genesee River.

Rowe got off his bus at school but never entered the building.

Some attendance records listed him as present, and the school district reported that staff members tried to alter the records. Six 911 employees were suspended for failing to follow protocols when a person, likely Trevyan, was spotted that morning on the 490 bridge.

Monroe County District Attorney Sandra Doorley did not bring criminal charges. The state Education Commissioner is expected to issue her own report.
